Frequently Asked Questions for Parents

Different between Levels 1 - 6

  • Level 1: Divided into three lanes normally. The first lane is for children with no swimming experience, the second lane is for those with some experience but lacking a strong foundation, and the third lane is a transition to Level 2.

  • Level 2: Divided into two lanes normally. The first lane is for children who have just stopped using float noodles and are practicing freestyle and backstroke with a kickboard. The second lane is for those starting to swim without a kickboard in preparation for Level 3.

  • Level 3: Involves strengthening freestyle and backstroke in a 25-meter pool, with a focus on endurance.

  • Level 4-6: These levels involve further skill development and preparation for the squad. To join the squad, swimmers must be above Level 6, meet performance standards, and be approved by the coach.

When registering, please check the website carefully to ensure the lane in Level 1 or Level 2 is appropriate for your child.

  1. Regarding Absences: On the iClasspro website, select the "future absence" option to mark the date your child will be absent. After the lesson ends on the specified date, a token will automatically be issued to the "make-up" page, where you can choose a suitable time for a make-up lesson.

    • You are allowed one token per month, with a maximum of two make-up lessons per term. No additional tokens will be issued beyond this limit.

    • For long-term absences, a medical certificate is required.

  2. Changing Class Times: You can request a transfer through the "enrollment" page on the website. If there is an available spot, you will be able to select a new class time. If the class is full, transfers will not be possible.

  3. Registering for Classes: On the "find a class" page, choose the appropriate level and time, then confirm the lane is correct. Submit your request, add your card details, and select "complete." Once approved by ACSA Swim, your registration will be successful.

  4. Swimmer level up: At the end of each term, coaches will conduct a standardized evaluation of all children. Results will be available on the website under the "evaluation" section. A green checkmark next to the current level means the child is ready to advance to the next level. If there is no green checkmark, the child will remain in the same level for the next term.

  5. Coaches: You cannot choose a specific coach, and children do not follow the same coach from term to term. It's also not possible to request a change of lane based on preference for a particular coach. Coach assignments are not provided in advance.

  6. One-on-One Lessons: One-on-one lessons involve a fixed coach and a fixed schedule. Since the coach's time is specifically reserved for your child, make-up classes are not offered for one-on-one sessions. However, group lessons can be arranged as make-ups. If your child misses class due to illness, a medical certificate is required.

  7. Cancelling Lessons: A two-week notice is required for cancelling lessons. During this notice period, regular fees will still apply. Please plan ahead to avoid unnecessary charges.

  8. Payment: Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer, or through the website by linking a credit card. Payment for the term must be completed before the start of classes, or the reserved spot will be automatically cancelled.
